Background of Adalimumab

Tumor necrosis factor alpha (TNF-α) is a cytokine that has pleiotropic effects on various cell types. It has been identified as a major regulator of inflammatory responses and is known to be involved in the pathogenesis of some inflammatory and autoimmune diseases.Adalimumab is a fully human IgG1 monoclonal antibody capable of specifically blocking the binding of human TNF-α to the receptors because its function and structure are identical to that of natural human IgG1.
