Background of 18C3-hIgG4-S228P

B7-H7, also known as HHLA2 (HERV-H LTR-associating 2), is a member of the B7 family of immune checkpoint molecules. It is a protein that plays a role in the regulation of immune responses, particularly in the context of T-cell activation and proliferation. B7-H7 is expressed on human monocytes and can be induced on B cells. It is not found in mice, which makes it unique to humans. The protein is also expressed in various human cancers, and its expression is associated with poor prognostic factors in these malignancies. In summary, B7-H7 is an important immune modulatory molecule with significant expression in various human cancers. Its expression is associated with poor prognosis in certain malignancies, making it a potential biomarker and therapeutic target.
