Background of 9D8-hIgG1

Fibrinogen-like protein 2 (FGL2) is a membrane-bound or secreted protein expressed by macrophages, T cells, and tumor cells that has coagulation activity or immune-suppressive functions. FGL2 promotes mammary tumor progression by promoting tumor angiogenesis or inducing epithelial-to-mesenchymal transition. 9D8-hlgG1 is a monoclonal antibody that only binds FGL2.
