Background of APBA1-hIgG1

The CD40 receptor and CD40L ligand are transmembrane proteins that are part of the tumor necrosis factor (TNF) receptor superfamily and are imperative to the induction and maintenance of inflammation. APB-A1 is a novel autoimmune disease therapeutic agent for suppressing a CD40-CD40L signal while eliminating the Fc-based thromboembolic side effect of an anti-CD40L antibody.
